Kicking off LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s Star Wars Days calendar of events is the official opening of the new The Force Awakens MINILAND model misplay on May 4, 2018.

A LONG TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY: Witness the start of Rey’s journey when LEGO Star Wars: The Force AwakenThe Force Awakenss MINILAND Model Display opens May 4, 2018 at LEGOLAND Florida Resort in Winter Haven, Fla. Inspired by the blockbuster film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” the giant display will feature several scenes re-created with thousands of LEGO bricks, including memorable movie moments with Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren and BB-8, enhanced with lights, sound effects and animation.

The new models will join existing LEGO displays that re-create scenes from the first six films in the “Star Wars” saga.

Guests can now enjoy seven of the most famous scenes from the seven live-action Star Wars movies, all made out of 1.5 million LEGO bricks built in 1:20 scale. Guests will be further immersed into the Star Wars experience as they pose with life-size LEGO models of Darth Maul, R2-D2 and Darth Vader. Following a chronological path through the Star Wars timeline, LEGOLAND guests retrace the major events of the beloved Saga. Some of the 2,000 LEGO models will be more than 6-feet-tall. Interactive buttons will allow children to activate animations throughout the scenes.
