If you’ve been following our Mini Steps minifigure evolution series or have read our The Legend Of Threepio’s Gold feature article you’ll know that in 2007, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, LEGO North America packed polybagged, vac-metalled plastic version of their C-3PO minifigure in the Summer Wave release of that year in a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Golden Ticket luck-of-the-draw for 10,000 prize winners.
Nowadays these highly sought-after minifigures can go for $1000, and with the recent completed sale of the framed and numbered (2 of 5) 14k version with a certificate of authenticity, the attention this minifigure is getting hasn’t been this high in more than a decade.
And now you can win one for yourself, care of Wicked Brick!
To enter, all you need to do is make a purchase from the Wicked Brick online store between January 22nd and 31st and you’ll automatically be entered into the prize draw.
What’s more, the winner will also receive two display cases – one to safely store the sealed bag and another to (should they be brave enough) show off the opened minifigure!
Each order gets a single entry and multiple entries are permitted, and there are no geographical restrictions – so get your orders in now. Check out the competition details for yourself if you think this offer is too good to be true!
