It was once said that “nothing is certain except death and taxes” but had Benjamin Franklin been around today he would have had to acknowledge that another certainty is that LEGO Star Wars sets sell out faster than tea on December 17th, because the latest addition to the LEGO Star Wars video game library – The Skywalker Saga – is selling out on the official LEGO website.
Having only been available for less than a day, stocks of the Deluxe Edition with the exclusive Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk minifigure on LEGO.com became available in each region (with the exception of Canada and Australia-Pacific which didn’t have any copies of the game listed) as midnight was reached – and within minutes the website was showing the game as out of stock.
Whether this was due to low volumes of product or high numbers of shoppers, those who have been holding onto their VIP points are going to be very upset with this turn of fate.
At the time of going to press, the only version in stock on the entire LEGO.com website is the Deluxe Edition for the Playstation 4, which is available to shoppers in the United Kingdom for £59.99.
Rest assured there are other ways of adding this game to your collection – whether you want a physical or a digital copy – so check out our shopping guide to the game’s main global retailers.
